Description
This rare Montblanc Extra Large Boheme fountain pen with a retractable nib was introduced in 2002 and ceased production shortly after. It is significantly larger in girth and 13.5 cm in length when closed, compared to the more common standard size, measuring 11.5 cm, see comparison image. It should be noted and not to be confused, that there is also a non-retractable nib Boheme model in the market. (The one with the gold trim in the comparable image).
To present the pen for use, unscrew the cap and screw it to the end of the barrel, this operation will also turn out the nib. To close reverse the operation.
This is a cartridge filler fountain pen and takes a small universal cartridge and is therefore not limited to MB’s own brand. To install and remove the cartridge, there is a snap opening at the end of the barrel and to change just open the cover and push in the cartridge and close and as with any it should be ready to use once the ink flows to the feed.
This pen shows little or no sign of use and is in a near-mint condition fitted with an 18kt white gold Broad nib, and is complete with its presentation box and outer card case
