The existence of Soennecken as a company began in 1868. Their products ranged from dip pen nibs in the early years progressing to fountain pens and a wide offer of office supplies over the next eighty years, including hole punchers and staplers. Some observers would argue that they lost their way with the development and marketing of the fountain pens.  Their most successful and high-quality pens were introduced in 1952 with the launch of the 111, 222, and  333 models which were created with beautiful celluloid patterns, and all piston fillers These models are rare and quite hard to find.
