Here we have a rare Classic Pens and the Parker pen company collaboration that produced a 2008 limited edition ( Kimono Series) Parker Duofold fountain pen, the LB2 model. This is one of a hundred pens, the Shinrin( Forest) art design, using the traditional Maki-e Togidashi technique, a process where the artist carefully paints several layers of Urishi colours , and gold powders, and burnishing to create these amazing patterns and effects. The pen is a work of art by a Maki-e master and is signed on the barrel.

This Parker Duofold Centennial model is fitted with a medium 18K gold two-tone nib and a cartridge converter filling system.

This pen is in mint condition and presented with its presentation and outer box, a numbered certificate of authenticity, which the artist has signed, and the Classic Pens Presidents.

This is a truly stunning creation and one for the discerning collector or user.

Fords Patent Black Hard Rubber Plunger-Filler Fountain Pen | Medium Nib

Here we have a Ford Patent 337 Standard fountain pen from the early 1930s, made of smooth black hard rubber and fitted with a medium semi-flex nib. The unique filling system and construction were developed over a nine-year period and incorporated six patents from 1930 -to 1932. The pen is in excellent condition and was recently serviced by Laurence Oldfield an expert and author on Ford pens.

As a great writer and thinker, Marcel Proust always strove for the maximum depth of detail and precision – an aspiration shared by the Writers Edition Marcel Proust. The eight-sided barrel, with its delicate engravings, recalls the style prevailing in Proust’s most creative period and, like the mountings, consists of 925 sterling silver. The barrel is also decorated with the engraved signature of the writer. As a tribute to Marcel Proust’s most popular work, the rhodium-plated 18-karat gold nib bears a delicate engraving of an hourglass.

Pelikan 400 Fountain Pens 1950 -1963

The Pelikan 400 series of fountain pens was first introduced to the market in 1950 and is still one of the most successful models ever produced by the company based in Hannover, Germany. Made from celluloid, noted for its simplicity, durability, very efficient piston filler and its iconic and recognisable green stripe and brown tortoiseshell designs.The pens measure 12.6 cm in length and fitted with 14Ct gold nibs, ebonite feeds and can be found with a wide range of nib options.

The Pelikan 400 series comprised of mainly two models, the 400 and the 400N. There is also a 400NN, which was a transitional model only made for approximately one year, from December of 1955 to 1956.The 400N is slightly longer than the 400 due to a more rounded and elongated piston knob in addition to a slightly longer cap.

Parker "51" A brief History

The iconic Parker 51 fountain pen is arguably the world’s best selling pen of it’s time. This unique and revolutionary pen launched in the USA in 1941,was so successful the model was also produced in Canada and the UK. Its Bauhaus inspired shape, hooded nib, clutch fit cap,Vacumatic filling system and above all, it’s simplicity and functional performance justified it’s market position. Apart from changes to the filling mechanism and the clip, the design has remained the same throughout its history.

The “First Year” 1941 production Parker 51 pens were available in four colours, Black, Cordovan brown, Cedar blue and Dove grey. These are now quite rare and collectable and were made with decorative aluminium jewels on top of the cap and the base of the barrel; commonly described as a “Double Jewelled “model. In 1942 the aluminium jewels were replaced with a pearlised plastic. Three more colours were added to the US range: Buckskin beige, Nassau green and Mustard.

The Parker 51 Vacumatic filler was the Aluminium Speedline, its function remained the same, but the plunger was later replaced with plastic and at the same time the jewel on the blind cap which covered the filler was removed, which gave rise to the “Single Jewel” model. A Rare Set Of Nine Montblanc Meisterstuck Fountain Pen Nib Selection Testers

Here we have a rare retailers set of nine Montblanc Meisterstuck fountain pen nib selection testers in its original presentation box. The box has the original cardboard outer sleeve, which is very tatty ( not shown), the outside of the presentation box is in very good condition, however,the cream material on the inside of the lid is worn with marks.

There are eight 146 model pens with the following nibs: Extra Fine, Fine,Medium,Oblique Medium,Broad,Double Broad,Oblique Broad, Oblique Double Broad and one 144 model pen marked ,”Test Special”,this a Kugel nib (ball shaped).

The pens are all made to the same specification as the retail models, fitted with 14 kt gold two tone 4810 nibs in their respective sizes, piston filler, except for the 144 Special , which is a converter/ cartridge ink supply. The condition of all the pens are exceptional no cracks or marks and in excellent working order.
