Description
Here we have a 1956 Parker 61 Prototype “Wick-Fill fountain pen, black body, and Lustraloy cap with a gold plated clip and end-of-barrel tassie (the cap design is unique to 61 prototypes). Inlaid in the barrel tassie is a disk with a die-cut “61.” The barrel end is put into the ink and the wick draws ink into the barrel through the cut-out “61.” Hooded nib (larger than the regular 61 nib) also with a die-cut “61″ this time acting as the vent hole for the ink/air exchange while using the pen. Fine nib. New-old-stock. Mint.
